(Both Mike and Ethan’s favorite cookie – like father like son!)
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Mix together in a small bowl.
2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups (12 oz bag) chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Cream together softened butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Mix in the eggs and vanilla, then add the flour mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
Drop by spoonfuls (or chill dough and roll into uniform shape balls) onto a cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes.
